The Croatian-born man who founded the iconic fashion brand Missoni has died in northern Italy on Thursday aged 92. Ottavio Missoni, who was born in the Dalmatian city of Dubrovnik to an Italian father and Croatian mother, was the owner of Missoni, made famous by its recognizable zigzag-patterned knitwear that has donned by women across the world. A statement issued by Missoni SpA said he “passed away serenely” in his home in the town of Sumirago.
