Help Luka Modric Win World Cup Goal of the Tournament Award

After winning the Golden Ball at the 2018 FIFA World Cup, Croatian captain Luka Modric has the opportunity to pick up another award.

Modric has been shortlisted for the Goal of the Tournament award for his stunning goal against Argentina in the group stages.

The best 18 goals of the tournament which ended on Sunday have now been put to the vote with fans deciding the winner.

Modric earned his place on the shortlist when he put Croatia 2-0 up against Argentina in the second group match. Modric received the ball 20 metres out and after throwing a fake let fly with a 99 km/h curling shot past the out-stretched Caballero in goal.

This is the fourth consecutive FIFA World Cup in which football fans have been able to vote for the Goal of the Tournament, with the first vote taking place following Germany 2006. Colombia’s James Rodriguez won the award at the last World Cup in Brazil with his sublime turn and finish against Uruguay.

Voting is open to all fans, with no registration required and is open until Monday 23 July on FIFA.com HERE
