Guns N’ Roses’ Axl Rose enjoys Croatia visit

Legendary Guns N’ Roses frontman Axl Rose recently paid a visit to Croatia, hosted by Croatian entrepreneur and investor Davorin Štetner. Štetner, a member of the International Automobile Federation (FIA), shared the news on social media, along with photos of Axl’s Croatian visit.

As Večernji list writes, Rose was welcomed at Štetner’s home in Jastrebarsko before being given a private tour of the impressive Bugatti Rimac Automobili Campus.

The visit continued with a stop at the Tomac Winery, one of Croatia’s most respected winemakers.

“Hosting the great Axl Rose in Croatia, in my home in Jaska, at the Bugatti Rimac Automobili Campus – to show him what is made in Croatia – and at Tomac Winery… now they truly see how good we have it here and everything we offer!” Štetner wrote on Facebook.

He also thanked Mate Rimac for opening the Bugatti Rimac Campus for a special tour on a non-working day, as well as the Tomac family for their warm hospitality.

“Big thanks to my great friends, the Tomac family – Tihomir, Dragica, and the whole Princess Centre team – and Tihomir for the steaks, and to all the friends who joined us. It was top! Days like this with friends are what make life beautiful,” he added.

The visit comes shortly after Guns N’ Roses confirmed a significant change within the band. Long-time drummer Frank Ferrer recently parted ways with the group after nearly two decades. In a statement on Instagram, the band announced his “amicable departure”, thanking him for his dedication and wishing him the best in his future musical endeavours.

Ferrer joined the band in June 2006, originally stepping in as a temporary replacement for Bryan “Brain” Mantia during a performance in Belgium. What was intended to be a two-week stint turned into a nearly 20-year run, officially joining the band in October 2006. His final performance with Guns N’ Roses took place on 5 November 2023 in Mexico.
