Grants for projects for Croatian communities abroad – public call open

Six "strategic important" projects to Croatian communities abroad allocated €1.3m

The Central State Office for Croats Abroad is inviting non-profit Croatian organizations abroad and other eligible applicants to apply for funding for projects.

The projects need to be in the interest of Croats abroad and which contribute to meeting public needs, goals and priorities defined by the Central State Office for Croats Abroad’s strategic documents.

Pursuant to this Public Call, non-profit organizations and other eligible applicants are granted financial resources for the implementation of projects in the following areas of financing:

connecting with Croats abroad in order to preserve and strengthen national identity, protect the rights and interests of Croatian communities, preserve the Croatian language, cultural creativity and heritage,

cooperation with Croats abroad with the aim of encouraging Croatian cultural unity, developing cultural activities in the Croatian language, encouraging cultural, educational, scientific, sports and economic cooperation with the Republic of Croatia and with each other,

providing social, development and humanitarian support to vulnerable individuals and communities of Croats abroad,

encouraging the return and integration of Croats abroad and their descendants into the social and economic life of the Republic of Croatia.

The total planned value of the Public Call is €800,000.00. The lowest amount of financial resources that can be applied for and contracted for an individual project is €663.61, and the highest amount for an individual project is €19,908.42.

The lowest amount of one-time financial support to vulnerable individuals, Croatians  abroad and vulnerable individuals who are returnees/immigrants from the Croatian emigration/diaspora is €265.45, and the highest is €3,318.07.

One applicant can submit a maximum of two applications to this Public Call. Eligible applicants are: non-profit organizations, natural persons and vulnerable individuals.

The deadline for submitting applications is March 17, 2023.
