Former Sex Pistols Frontman To Receive Croatian Music Award

John Lydon, better known as Johnny Rotten, the former lead singer of the sex pistols, has won a Croatian Music Award for special achievements in music.

Lydon will be presented with his ‘Porin’ in the Croatian capital Zagreb on 11 June, ahead of his Croatian concert with his current band Public Image Limited. Lydon, who turned down an MBE for his services to music, was named among the 100 Greatest Britons in 2002 following a UK-wide vote.

The former Sex Pistols frontman joins Roger Waters, Johnny Winter, Artur Sandoval and Ron Carter as artists to receive the award made out of stone from the island of Brac for services to music and who through their work changed music history.
