First Destination by Hyatt in Croatia opening

The Opatija Riviera is set to welcome a new luxury landmark as Sealeven Hotel & Residences joins the prestigious Destination by Hyatt collection, marking the brand’s debut in Croatia.

The Sealeven complex will feature 85 serviced residences across eleven buildings, combining contemporary elegance with authentic local charm.

Construction is already nearing completion, with interior works underway and the official opening planned for the first half of 2026.

The property will be operated by Grand Metropolitan Hotels under the Destination by Hyatt brand, through a franchise agreement between Projekt Galerija, the owning company, and a Hyatt affiliate.

Joc Pečečnik, one of the project’s owners, said the development will introduce a new hospitality concept to the northern Adriatic while staying true to Opatija’s heritage.

“Through the branded and fully serviced Sealeven Hotel & Residences, we are bringing a new concept to the northern Adriatic, while preserving Opatija’s charm, authenticity, and traditional hospitality,” said Pečečnik.

Grand Metropolitan Hotels will manage the Sealeven complex to reflect Destination by Hyatt’s global identity while celebrating Opatija’s unique culture and coastal lifestyle.
