English group The Stranglers to play at Šibenik fortress this summer

4 June 2019 – English rock band The Stranglers will play in the Dalmatian city of Šibenik this summer. 

The band, who have 23 UK top 40 singles and 17 UK top 40 albums to date in a career spanning over four decades, are one of the longest-surviving and most continuously successful bands to have originated in the UK punk scene.

The Stranglers will play at the impressive St. Michael’s Fortress in Šibenik on 21 August 2019.  

Tickets go on sale on Friday 7 June and will be available at St. Michael’s Fortress , City Point (Don Krste Stošića 1) and online on the Eventim platform.

A limited number of tickets will be available for 330 kn with the remaining tickets going for 350 kn.  

Formed in1974 in the UK, the band had major mainstream success with their 1982 single “Golden Brown”. Their other hits include “No More Heroes”, “Peaches”, “Always the Sun” and “Skin Deep” and the 2003 Top 40 hit “Big Thing Coming”, which was seen as a return to form.
