Dubrovnik Port Welcomes One Millionth Traveller

Dubrovnik Port welcomed it’s one millionth passenger on Tuesday night when American traveller Caroline Ligh entered. Ligh was a passenger aboard cruiser “Arthemis” and was greeted to an official welcome by the port’s director Kristijan Pavic who presented her with a gift.

This year’s one millionth traveller was welcomed seven days later than in 2011, with Pavic saying that although cruisers were in growth this year in Dubrovnik, traffic on domestic lines were down on last year.

Pavic said that cruise ships will record one million passengers into Dubrovnik port this year, with last year 982,000 passengers, reported daily newspaper Slobodna Dalmacija.
