Discover Croatia TV Series Takes in Dalmatia’s Hinterland

Discover CroatiaAfter a full on initiation to Croatia through the Zagreb and Lika-Senj counties, followed by a taste of the coastal Dalmatian delights in Makarska, Brela, Baška Voda, Živogošće and Drvenik, the group of five international journalists, bloggers and travelers who are being led on a 23 day journey around Croatia by American Television host Ashley Colburn for a web tv series titled Discover Croatia, have now sampled what Dalmatia’s hinterland has to offer.

This week the crew have visited the beautiful town of Sinj tucked away in Dalmatia’s unsung hinterland, where they have indulged themselves in traditional cuisine and been introduced to the centuries old Sinj Alka Knights Games, an event which various horsemen attempt to aim their lances at a hanging metal ring, known as the Alka, at full gallop. From the hinterland the TV series now moves to Split, where the foreign bloggers will have a chance to test out their skills in the very ‘Split’ ball-game of picigin in the water at Bačvice beach.
