Croats Abroad: Goals Galore Ahead Of Serbia Tie

There was good news for Croatia coach Igor Stimac on the weekend with a number of his side finding the back of the net for their clubs just days ahead of the important World Cup qualifier against Serbia in Zagreb.

A 25-yard scorcher from Luka Modric helped Real Madrid come from behind to beat Mallorca in Spain’s La Liga, whilst Everton striker Nikica Jelavic broke his 3-month drought to score in his sides win against Manchester City in the English premiership on Saturday.

Veteran striker Ivica Olic also found the back of the net for Bundesliga side Wolfsburg on the weekend to continue a rich vein of form, whilst Dynamo Kiev’s Domagoj Vida scored his first goal for the club. Niko Kranjcar played the last 24 minutes in the match.
