ZAGREB, 5 January 2020 (Hina) – “Keep the sea plastic free” is the motto for the 15th edition of the Skraping trekking race that will be held in Tkon on Pasman island in March, with more than 1,500 participants expected to participate in the race.

“We always endeavour to attract tourists during the peak season and off-peak season with various events and focusing on our nature heritage, tradition and original experience. It is from these events in fact that we have learned that we need to motivate tourists to spend their vacations actively and we in fact have all the conditions for that,” Tkon Mayor Goran Muscet told a recent press conference.

The start of the event is set for 7 March.

The largest and most frequented trekking race in Croatia is divided into four categories: Ultra – 45 kilometres, Challenger – 25 kilometres,  Active – 12 kilometres, and Light – 6 kilometres, all featuring great views of the Kornati National Park and Zadar archipelago.
