Croatian women’s basketball team beats Germany to secure Euro spot

The Croatian women’s basketball team has qualified for the 2021 European Women Basketball Championship after beating Germany. 

Croatia beat Germany today in Latvia 80:66 to win Group I and secure their place at EuroBasket Women 2021.

Iva Slonjšak was Croatia’s standout player today, scoring 23 points and making 10 rebounds and 3 assists.

Croatia earlier beat Latvia and North Macedonia and beat Germany in their first encounter also to end with 7 points, 3 ahead of Germany who are in second place with one match left.

The EuroBasket Women 2021 will be the 38th edition of the continental tournament in women’s basketball, sanctioned by the FIBA Europe. It will be co-hosted by France and Spain between 17 and 27 June 2021.
