Croatian Wines for Sale on Chinese Home Shopping Channel

The Chinese will now be able to purchase wines from Hvar’s Zlatan otok vineyard, which have won a number of awards and gold medals in Croatia and abroad, including at fairs in Zürich, Bordeaux, Nürnberg, London and in Paris, from the comfort of their living rooms on the Global Home Shopping channel.

Zlatan otok has been selling their wines on the Chinese market since 2010, and have in the last 4 years built up a reputable brand in a country which boasts over 1 billion people, who are rapidly developing a palate for wine. The Global Home Shopping channel, which covers 17 regions in China and goes into over 50 million homes, gives the Chinese a oppotunity to buy imported products from all over the world.

“In the future, we still plan to expand our products in China. Our wines are, I think, very interesting because they are original. There are no copies, no chemicals, everything is from organic land, and a clean environment. So with regards to China, our wines are certainly special”, said Marija Perišić, Zlatan otok’s representative for China. (pic: winesofcroatia)
