ZAGREB, 13 March (Hina) – The Croatian town of Daruvar has prepared a project that envisages the construction of a mountain hostel, an observatory, a planetarium and an observation deck as well as the upgrade of a hiking trail, local authorities announced earlier this week.

The project called “Trekking to the Stars” is estimated at €6.63 million and will be fully funded from the National Recovery and Resilience Plan.

The project will be implemented in Vrani Kamen Park on Mount Papuk near Daruvar, 120 kilometres east of Zagreb.

The area was declared an IDA International Dark Sky Park in late 2019.

In addition to the local authorities, another seven partners will be engaged in the implementation of this project.
