Croatian striker Andrej Kramarić on incredible scoring streak

13 DECEMBER 2018 – Croatia and Hoffenheim striker Andrej Kramarić is enjoying a rich vein of form.

When Kramarić gave Hoffenheim the lead last night against Manchester City in the Champions League it was his 9th goal in consecutive matches.

Kramarić’s streak of goals started against Lyon in early November in the Champions League and has gone on to score in the next eight matches against Augsburg, Spain, England (Nations League for Croatia), Hertha, Shakhtar, Schalke, Wolfsburg and last night against Manchester City.

The 27-year-old also became the first Croatian to score in four consecutive Champions League matches.

Kramarić has banged in five goals in this season’s Champions League, but it was not enough to prevent his club finishing last in their Group.

Whilst Kramarić may have set a record for a Croatian international, he is a few goals off from breaking Lionel Messi’s incredible 21-game scoring streak.

If Kramarić manages to find the back of the net in his next two matches he will surpass Cristiano Ronaldo’s record streak of 10 games.

The Bundesliga record is also still a few games away for Kramarić. That record is held by Gerd Muller who scored in 16 consecutive Bundesliga games in 1969/70.

Gabriel Batistuta’s 11-game streak is the best run in Italy’s Serie A history.
