Croatian-Singing Samoans Touring Croatia This Month

Christian and Austin Malietoa Brown went viral last month in Croatia

Two members from the New Zealand-based Samoan a capella group Klapa Samoana arrive in Croatia this week for a series of performances. 

Christian and Austin Malietoa Brown from Klapa Samoana Vocal Ensemble land in Zagreb this Thursday and will perform around the country. 

The duo recently went viral in Croatia when they sang a rendition of Mladen Grdovic’s ‘Nije u šoldima sve’ after Croatia beat England to reach the World Cup final. 

“We are full Samoans but we hope this weekend we are one family. We are all supporting our second homeland Croatia. Nasa Hrvatska. Let’s go, boys,” they said. 

Christian and Austin will be performing 90 minutes of Croatian music with melodies and harmonies selected from around Croatia.

Christian and Austin were part of Klapa Samoana when they toured Croatia last 3 years ago.
