ZAGREB, 2 Jan (Hina) – Croatian Radio made history when, on its 100th birthday, it broke the Guinness World Record for the largest number of hosts in a radio marathon (Guinness World Records: “Most hosts in a radio talk show relay”), Croatian Radiotelevision (HRT) reported on Thursday.

More than 100 radio presenters took part on the air of the Second Programme of Croatian Radio (HRT – HR 2), the statement said.

The record was broken in the presence of an official Guinness World Records adjudicator, who monitored the challenge throughout to ensure that all the required criteria were met.

Hosts rotated on air every 15 minutes without interruption, fulfilling all conditions for a new world record.

Presenters from all 12 Croatian Radio stations participated in this historic broadcast, marking the first time the entire HRT radio network came together for a single programme.

“Breaking the Guinness World Record is a powerful confirmation of Croatian Radio’s strength today. Our more than one hundred presenters in a continuous broadcast show that radio has never been more alive and is ready for its second century,” said Eliana Čandrlić Glibota, Editor-in-Chief of Croatian Radio’s programmes.
