Croatian olive oils scoop gold at New York world competition

Success for Croatian olive oils at the World Olive Oil Competition in New York (NYIOOC), which is the world’s largest and most prestigious olive oil quality contest.

The NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition has just announced the results of this year’s olive oil competition, featuring entries from a staggering 28 countries around the world. 

Among them, there is a significant number of oils from Croatian olive growers that have been awarded with a gold medal. 

At this prestigious competition, the largest and most esteemed in terms of olive oil quality, a total of 1244 samples from the mentioned 28 countries were analysed this year. 

Croatia participated with as many as 97 oil samples, whose quality was assessed by a team of 21 experts, Dobra hrana reported.

Among the recipients of the gold medals are Negri Olive, Kristofola d.o.o., Nai 3.3 from the Nives Morović family farm, as well as Oleum Viride Belić Frantoio, Mudrina, Turinela, Nono Remiđo Buža, Trebocconi 2024, Rheos Premium Blend, Garmica, Bellistra, organic olive oil Šime Skradin, Villa Four Seasons, Orcolo from the Dani Lazar family farm, Ulika Puntar, Radojković Selekcija, In Volo, Bilaja, Olea Viola, Terra Rossa Bellani, Konfin, Sv. Ivan Oblica, Fortica Coratina – Leccino, Deša, Fortica Soltanka, Beaković, Canolle, Antino, Skipper, Sv. Ivan Blend, Podrug, Istrian, Eva Marija Levantinka from the Curin Eva Marija family farm, and Vergal.

As reported by Aminess, this year’s medal is Vergal’s seventh in total, establishing it as a recognisable brand in the market for high-quality oils, with confirmations coming from all sides.
