Croatian Monetary Institute Release Special Medal in Honour of World Cup Success

Vatreni win silver at the World Cup (HNS)

The Croatian Monetary Institute (Hrvatski Novčarski Zavod – HNZ) are to celebrate Croatia’s success at the FIFA World Cup in Russia by issuing a special commemorative medal. 

The pure silver medal features the Croatian national team shirt on the front with the words Croatian National Football Team World Runners-Up engraved on, whilst the back features a football with 2018 World Cup Russia engraved. 

The medal, which weighs 24 grams and is 37 mm in diameter costs 199 kuna. 

The Croatian Monetary Institute produces circulating coinage for Croatia as well as gold and silver medals, commemorative medallions and badges.

Due to the large interest in the medal, they will not be available until later this month. You can reserve a medal by emailing: [email protected] or by going into HNZ at Trg Bana Josipa Jelačića 11.
