Croatian Ferries Move into E-World

jadroGood news for travellers who do not enjoy standing in long queues. Croatia’s state-owned, and major ferry service provider Jadrolinija, will finally launch its online ticket purchase system at the end of May…

Yesterday at Jadrolinija’s Rijeka headquarters the company, together with the Minister of Transport Siniša Hajdaš Dončić, presented its ‘E-Jadrolinija’ project, which includes a number of new features for customers. For the first time customers will be able to purchase prepaid credit. From the start of March residents on Croatian islands can open a prepaid credit account with Jadrolinija on their identification cards, which will mean they will no longer have to physically purchase tickets if they have credit on their card.

In April the system will be rolled out to the wider public under the ‘Jadrolinija2Go’ promotion. When asked how much customers would save with the prepaid accounts, the company gave no definitive answer. At the end of May online ticket sales for ferries will available, which currently have only been available for catamaran connections. (photo / Jadrolinija.hr)
