Croatian designer makes Vogue’s Top 100 list of fashion’s leading innovators

Among the top 100 global fashion innovators listed by prestigious magazine Vogue Business, is one young Croatian.

Creative director and founder of Tribute Brand Studio, Gala Marija Vrbanić, has found herself in the company of innovators, creatives, and entrepreneurs who, as described by Vogue, introduce new ideas and ways of working, bringing together participants with common goals and creating a new environment for fashion and beauty that caters to future generations.

The Croatian design studio led by Vrbanić has been placed in the category of ‘Technology and Web3,’ and this recognition was awarded because Tribute Brand, among other achievements, managed to create the first digital fashion piece that became a viral sensation on social media: an oversized, metallic dress that resembles a balloon with a large metallic bow, which has become a symbol of new technology and culture, Lider.hr reported.

Industry Leaders

As explained by Vogue, designer Vrbanić’s digital creations not only demonstrate her skills in utilizing the latest technology but also speak to her impeccable instincts and sense for the new.

In addition to conquering the digital world with her creations, she managed to capture the attention of fashion houses Jean Paul Gaultier and Carolina Herrera, which subsequently entered into collaborations with Tribute Brand.

Thanks to an impressive investment of $4.5 million last year, the studio continued to develop its creative and technological capabilities. They improved their application, continued to break the boundaries between the physical and virtual worlds with the help of AR tools, and positioned themselves as leaders in the so-called ‘phygital’ fashion. They even launched ‘Tribute Street’…

Some of the world’s leading media outlets, including Forbes, WWD, Numéro, CR Fashion Book, have written about their work, and their potential is evident in the aforementioned financial support from some of the leading investment funds in the web3 sector, such as Collab+Currency.
