Croatian Champions League Final Match-Up Unlikely After Real Madrid Thumped By Borussia Dortmund

Croatian international Mario Mandzukic might have one foot already in the UEFA Champions League final after his Bayern Munich side thumped Barcelona 4-0 on Tuesday night, but the chances of him squaring off in the final at Wembley in London against his former Dinamo Zagreb and national team team-mate Luka Modric seem remote after Modric’s Real Madrid side were handsomely beaten by Borussia Dortmund 4-1 last night.

Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho started the diminutive Croatian midfield maestro last night before taking him off in the 67th minute. Real Madrid and Barcelona both need miracles next week in their return legs.
