ZAGREB, 12 February 2020 – Croatia will face Turkey in the eastern Croatian city of Osijek in the build up to Euro 2020, the Croatian Football Federation confirmed on Wednesday.

Croatia will play Turkey at Gradski vrt stadium in Osijek on 1 June, which will be the first of two friendlies Zlatko Dalić’s team will play in June before they depart for Euro.

Turkey are currently ranked 29th in the world and the match will mark the 10th time the two nations have met. At Euro 2008, Turkey would knock Croatia out in the quarterfinals after a penalty shootout. At Euro 2016, a Luka Modrić volley gave Croatia a 1-0 win.
