ZAGREB, 8 July 2020 – Croatia will face Switzerland in an international friendly in October, the Croatian Football Federation confirmed on Wednesday.

Croatia will take on Switzerland on 7 October 2020 in St. Gallen. The match will take place at Kybunpark stadium and will kick off at 8:45 p.m.

Croatia and Switzerland have met three times and have yet to record a victory. At Euro 2004, both sides played out a 0-0 draw. Switzerland beat Croatia 4:2 in Split in 2012 in a friendly, whilst in 2014 the sides drew 2:2 also in St. Gallen.

Switzerland is currently ranked 12th on the FIFA Rankings.

The World Cup runners-up will first return to action in September when the UEFA Nations League starts. Croatia is in Group A3 with Portugal, France and Sweden and will start the UEFA Nations League away to Portugal on September 5.

Next up for Zlatko Dalic’s side, three days later, will be a repeat of the 2018 World Cup final in France.

Croatia will take on Switzerland on 7 October before hosting Sweden and France on the 11th and 14th of October respectively.

In November, Croatia travels to Sweden on the 14th before a home fixture in the last round on the 17th against Portugal.
