Croatia reports 7 new cases in the last 24 hours

ZAGREB, May 6, 2020 – There have been 7 new COVID-19 cases reported in Croatia in the last 24 hours, the national crisis management team said at Wednesday’s press conference.

Today’s new cases bring the total tally of cases to 2,119. Since late February, Croatia has conducted 41,053 tests, including 1,080 in the last 24 hours.

There have been two more COVID-19-related fatalities in the last 24 hours. Both patients in Koprivnica, one born in 1924 and the other in 1932. The current death toll stands at 85.

The new cases today were reported in the Dubrovnik-Neretva (3), Zagreb (2), Koprivnica-Krizevci (1), and Split-Dalmatia (1) counties. 

The number of patients currently on ventilators is 14. There have been 1,601 recoveries to date and 206 people are in hospital.  

There are 18,688 people currently in self-isolation.
