Croatia ready for the World Women’s Handball Championships in Spain

Croatia ready for the World Women's Handball Championships

The Croatian team has finished their preparations and today departed for the 2021 IHF World Women’s Handball Championships in Spain. 

The tournament will be held in Spain from 1 to 19 December 2021 and Croatia warmed with with a victory over Slovenia. 

Nenad Šoštarić’s team will open their World Championships on Thursday when they play their first match against Brazil. 

Croatia will then face Paraguay on 4 December and Japan on 6 December in their group matches.  

The Netherlands will be the defending champions after winning for the first time in 2019, whilst Croatia are coming off a bronze medal win at their last major tournament  at the European Championships. 

This will be the 7th time Croatia has taken part at the world championships.
