Croatia Knocked Out Of UEFA Euro Despite Win

The Croatian U-17 football team have been knocked out in the group stages at the UEFA European Championships in Slovakia despite beating the Ukraine 2-1 in their final group match on Saturday.

Ivan Gudelj’s side went behind in the 17th minute, but thanks to goals from Dinamo Zagreb pair Alen Halilovic and Robert Muric they managed to collect the three points. The win however was not enough to put them through to the semi-final stages as fellow group members Italy and Russia shared points in a 1-1 draw. Croatia drew both their other group matches 0-0 against Italy and Russia.
