Croatia gets SOTAH tachograph data processing system

ZAGREB, Oct 2 (Hina) – A new central system for tachograph data processing (SOTAH) was launched at the start of October which keeps Croatia in step with demands from the new Mobility Package which among other things concerns drivers’ working hours, stated the AKD agency that will operate the SOTAH system.

SOTAH is a digital system based on contemporary information and communication technology in the form of a service-oriented architecture that will facilitate monitoring tachograph data for hauliers and drivers while providing the appropriate services a tool that will enable greater security for freight and passenger road transport, AKD said in a press release.

SOTAH is in line will all existing EU regulations and will enable upgrading in accordance with changes that the new Mobility Package will bring and relate to working hours of mobile workers (drivers) and protecting market competition in road transport.

Transport and Infrastructure Minister Oleg Butkovic said, as carried by AKD’s press release, that he is pleased that a Croatian company has developed a system that will enable an entire series of new and advanced tools to manage the transport system.
