Croat Voted World Waterpolo Player Of The Year

Croatian Josip Pavic has been voted the World Waterpolo Player of the Year for 2012. Pavic, who was Croatia’s goalkeeper during their successful Olympic games campaign in London where they won gold, was typically humble upon hearing the announcement, alluding that it should have gone to the team.

“Not me. Croatia! I really think that,” said Pavic, before adding that he was honoured to be named the player of the year.

Pavic’s team-mate Miho Boskovic was runner-up in the award.
