Mountain Creek Gin with sequins from Podravina and Slavonia will seduce you with its taste and appearance. This limited series called Shimmer edition comes from the Kostelac distillery in Orahovac.

“Sequins are created by grinding natural minerals into nanoparticles that sparkle in a bottle and glass. The effect is original, the reactions are fantastic,” says the distillery owner Krešimir Kostelac.

First, four premium variants of gin were created – the classic London Dry, the pink Lady’s Choice with berries, the orange Grapefruit & Tangerine and the yellow spicy Ginger & Lemon.

Their basis is wheat distillate distilled through seven columns, and the full and rounded taste is provided by 29 types of medicinal and spicy herbs, of course, in different proportions. Adding sequins to the baseline created a new edition, which has been a hit this summer.

The gins are fine and soft thanks to the extremely high quality water that springs in the Papuk Nature Park and Papuk Geopark and is naturally filtered through layers of rock, some of which are more than 600 million years old.

The gins are inspired by the beauties of Papuk, its green forests, mountain streams, valleys and glades ideal for escaping the summer heat.

On the label of each 700ml bottle of Mountain Creek Gin, there is a free ticket to the Jankovac Forest Park, considered by many to be the most beautiful Papuk valley with educational trails, two lakes and the attractive Skakavac waterfall. It is valid for one person and very easily peels off the label.

“I am extremely pleased with this kind of cooperation that promotes the beauties, offer and contents of our county where Slavonia and Podravina meet. Papuk Nature Park is one of the biggest Slavonian attractions, and premium gin from Orahovica is a modern, urban story that invites you to visit us in an innovative way and enjoy the flavours and colours,” said Martina Jakelić, director of the Virovitica-Podravina County Tourist Board.
