Book about Croatians’ greatest sports achievements launched

ZAGREB, 20 Oct (Hina) – The monograph about the biggest sports successes of Croatian athletes, prepared by the authors Dražen Beraković and Davor Lulić, has been recently published by the Mozaik Knjiga publishing company.

The 320-page book, which consists of four chapters, gives an overview of achievements of Croatian sportsmen and sportswomen in 24 sports.

The title of the monograph in Croatian is “Najveći uspjesi hrvatskog sporta – Sveobuhvatni vodič kroz najveće sportske događaje”, and its authors are sports journalists.

Who was the first Croat to win an Olympic medal? In which sport has Croatia achieved the most success at the Olympic Games, World and European Championships? Which Croatian athletes and clubs stood on the highest step of the podium? Following the history of Croatian sport for more than 120 years, including the last successes of Croatian athletes at the Olympic Games in Tokyo in 2021, the authors bring us answers to these and many other questions.

The book is about the best Croatian athletes who achieved the greatest success with their results during the time we mark the “age of modern sport”, about athletes who became the best in competitions in the competition of the best European and world athletes. This is a book about the best of the best,” the authors say.
