Rijeka-based company Arctic has achieved one of its most significant international milestones to date with the completion of Switzerland’s largest ice rink and winter park, installed in front of the Bossard Arena in the city of Zug.
The impressive new ice park, covering 1,650 square metres with an additional 250-square-metre skating trail, has quickly become a focal point of winter activities in the region.
As part of the project, Arctic also unveiled a newly developed type of barrier system, designed to meet the demands of modern sporting and recreational facilities.
Denis Ventin, Arctic’s procurator, expressed pride in the company’s growing international presence.
“It is a tremendous honour to create something on this scale – the largest ice park in Switzerland, a country that lives and breathes winter sports and where ice hockey is part of its identity,” he said.
Supported by the city and a leading hockey club
The project was co-financed by the city of Zug to provide residents with a high-quality recreational space throughout the winter season. Additional investment came from EVZ Zug, one of Switzerland’s top hockey clubs and home to several national team players.

Switzerland notably won silver at the 2025 Ice Hockey World Championship, further boosting local enthusiasm for the sport.
Growing presence on global markets
For Arctic, the completion of Switzerland’s biggest ice park serves as a clear confirmation of its international ambitions and strong development trajectory.
“Alongside our firm position on the domestic market, we are increasingly expanding into international entertainment and sports sectors. We are currently in negotiations for projects in Canada, New Zealand and the United Arab Emirates, which reassures us that we are on the right path,” Ventin added.
