Croatia striker Mario Mandzukic has helped fire his Bayern Munich club into the semi-final of the UEFA Champions League. Bayern’s top scorer again found the back of the net, opening the scoring with a header in the 63rd minute in his side’s 2:0 win (4-0 aggregate) over Juventus in Italy last night.
The tall tattooed centre-forward though had his feet on the ground after the match.
“Of course I am wrapped because of the goal, but I am more happy that went through to the semi-final of the Champions League. We still have unfinished business,” said Mandzukic, who will miss the first leg of the semi-final after getting a yellow card in last night’s match. Mandzukic joins Croatian team-mate Luka Modric in the last four of Europe’s premier club competition.
