AC Milan Legends Boban And Maldini Croatian Frankfurter Market Leaders

Frankfurter lovers in Croatia will be familiar with Italian company AIA’a Wudy brand of Frankfurters on supermarket shelves, but not too many will be aware who is behind the import of them into Croatia.

Former AC Milan team-mates and international captains Croatian Zvonimir Boban and Italian Paolo Maldini are owners of the company Moja zemlja, who are headquartered in Zagreb and import the famous Italian frankfurters.

Boban founded the company in 1992 with Maldini joining in March last year as co-owner, according to registration records, writes Tportal. Boban and Maldini have the exclusive rights for AIA products in Croatia. AIA is one of Europe’s largest producers of chicken and turkey meat and are part of Italian giants Veronesi.

Boban and Maldini have become the leaders of the Croatian frankfurter market, with close to 50% market share. Moje zemlja employes around 20 people in Croatia.
