Former tennis world no.9 to run training sessions at Croatian coastal resort

11 March 2019 – Former tennis world no.9 Joachim Johansson will be running training sessions at the Falkensteiner Punta Skala resort near Zadar on Croatia’s coast this summer. 

After a number of tennis and football stars, including Luka Modrić, Mateo Kovačić, Lothar  Matthäus and the Croatian Davis Cup team, have visited the resort, another will be arriving this summer to share his knowledge. 

Former world no.9 Joachim Johansson will run a training camp at the resort from 23 – 28 June 2019, helping tennis enthusiasts with their serve, backhand, forehand and more at Falkensteiner Punta Skala’s unique sports and ecological resort.

In July 2018, the professional sports centre was opened in the heart of Punta Skala. The centre includes 7 clay tennis courts, three multi-sport arenas, a sand volleyball court, golf facilities, and two padel courts. 

The 36-year-old former Swedish pro, will be offering 1-day, 3-day, or 5-day training packages. 

Johansson, who reached the semifinals of the 2004 US Open, won 3 singles titles and achieved a career-high singles ranking of World No. 9 in February 2005. He retired in 2011.
