€1.8m public call for projects of Croats outside Croatia launched

ZAGREB, 13 Oct (Hina) – The Central State Office for Croats Abroad has announced a second public call, worth €1.8 million, for applications relating to special needs and projects of interest to Croats living outside Croatia.
The first such call, worth 1.5 million euros, was advertised in February.
Non-profit organisations of Croats both abroad and in Croatia, including associations, foundations, institutions, religious communities, or other legal entities, as well as individuals and vulnerable members of the Croatian nation living abroad in difficult social and material circumstances, may apply for financial support under this second public call.
The minimum amount of funding that can be applied for is 700 euros, while the maximum is 20,000 euros. The minimum one-off grant available to vulnerable individuals of Croatian descent living abroad is 300 euros, and the maximum is 3,500 euros.
Each applicant may submit a maximum of two applications under this public call.
This public call is intended for projects that contribute to the preservation and strengthening of national identity, the protection of the rights and interests of Croatian communities, the preservation of the Croatian language, cultural creativity and heritage, the promotion of cultural, educational, scientific, sporting and economic cooperation with Croatia, as well as the provision of social, developmental and humanitarian support to individuals and Croatian communities in need around the world.
The deadline for submitting applications, both in electronic and paper form, is 10 November 2025.
