Gorillaz have been announced as the first headline act for INmusic festival #18, taking place from 22 to 24 June 2026 at Jarun in Zagreb.
Created by musician Damon Albarn and artist Jamie Hewlett, Gorillaz revolutionised the music world with their blend of sound, story, and animation.
The virtual band, made up of singer 2D, bassist Murdoc Niccals, drummer Russel Hobbs, and guitarist Noodle, have redefined the idea of a band in the digital age, pairing cutting-edge visuals with an unmistakable musical identity.
Since their formation in 1998, Gorillaz have released eight acclaimed albums, including Gorillaz (2001), Demon Days (2005), Plastic Beach (2010), and their latest record Cracker Island (2023).
Over the years, they’ve collaborated with an impressive list of global artists such as Elton John, Little Simz, Grace Jones, MF Doom, Jean-Michel Jarre, and Kali Uchis, cementing their status as true innovators.
The multi-award-winning band, winners of both BRIT and Grammy Awards and recipients of the Jim Henson Creativity Honor, have performed around the globe, from San Diego to Syria and Montevideo to Manchester.
Their recent 25th-anniversary concerts in London drew high praise from critics, with The Guardian calling them “still riveting and relevant”, while The Observer hailed their show as “a star-studded display of lush visuals and borderless music.”
Now, Gorillaz are gearing up for the release of their forthcoming album, The Mountain, due in March 2026. Before that, fans can look forward to a spectacular live performance at INmusic, bringing the band’s immersive visuals and genre-bending sound to Croatia’s biggest open-air festival.
INmusic festival #18 marks the event’s 20th anniversary, promising one of the most memorable editions yet.
Tickets for the three-day festival are available via the official INmusic webshop for €119 (+ transaction fees), with seven-day camping tickets priced at €59 (+ transaction fees).
