Zagreb will host a special open-air concert this month dedicated to celebrating the life and work of three late greats of Croatian culture – Gabi Novak, Matija Dedić and Arsen Dedić.

The free concert, organised by the City of Zagreb, will take place on Sunday, 14 September 2025 at Strossmayer Square, starting at 7:30 pm.

Mayor Tomislav Tomašević announced that the evening will be a moving celebration of a unique artistic family, bringing together timeless songs, poetry, recitals and jazz compositions.

“The audience can expect an unforgettable musical evening, imagined as a celebration of life and creativity. The programme has been designed as a musical mosaic, weaving together the eternal melodies of Gabi Novak, the verses and songs of Arsen Dedić, and the jazz artistry of Matija Dedić,” said Tomašević, inviting all citizens to attend.

The two-hour programme will feature performances by more than 60 musicians, actors, artists and friends under the artistic direction of Ante Gelo.

Among those performing are Zdenka Kovačiček, Ksenija Erker, Tamara Obrovac, Darko Rundek, Drago Diklić, Jasna Zlokić, Zoran Predin and many others.

Audiences will be treated to some of the most beloved works from the trio’s rich legacy, including classics such as Vino i gitare, Ono sve što znaš o meni, Dida moj, Moderato Cantabile, Zagrli me, Kuća za ptice, Za mene je sreća, Hrabri ljudi, Nada, Pamtim samo sretne dane, On me voli na svoj način and Zagreb i ja se volimo tajno.
