Croatia presented its results today for the tourist season for 2025, with figures showing 17.2 million arrivals, a 2% increase compared to last year.

There were also 89.8 million overnight stays, up 0.5%. The pre-season saw particularly strong growth, with 5% more arrivals and 4% more overnight stays. August, the peak month, remained steady compared to last year, while the main summer period saw a slight dip.

Here are the ten most visited destinations in Croatia this year:

1. Dubrovnik

Dubrovnik continues to attract the most tourists with its UNESCO-protected Old Town.

2. Poreč

Poreč

Located on the Istrian coast, Poreč is best known for its Euphrasian Basilica, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

3. Umag

Umag continues to be among the most visited places in Croatia. It also hosts an ATP tennis tournament in the summer.

4. Novalja

Novalja

On the island of Pag, Novalja has built its reputation as Croatia’s party capital, with Zrće beach drawing in thousands of young visitors every summer.

5. Split

Split, often a spot to hit the islands from, is the 5th most visited place this year.

6. Zadar

Zadar

Zadar, home to the Sea Organ and Greeting to the Sun, was also popular the summer.

7. Vir

This small island near Zadar has become one of the country’s most visited spots, popular with families thanks to its accessible beaches and holiday homes.

8. Rovinj
