Croatia’s Rimac Automobili has once again proven its world-leading engineering prowess with the launch of the Nevera R – a hypercar that has shattered 24 performance records, including reclaiming the prestigious 0–400–0 km/h (0–249–0 mph) title.
Clocking an astonishing 25.79 seconds, the Nevera R beat the previous record by over two seconds, cementing its position as the fastest accelerating production car ever built – electric or otherwise.
The Nevera R builds on the record-breaking legacy of the original Nevera, which set 23 performance records in a single day at the ATP track in Germany in 2023.
But this new variant goes even further, outperforming its predecessor across every measured category.
Independently verified by Dewesoft, the Nevera R’s record-breaking performance was achieved in its high-speed mode – the final validation before customer deliveries begin.
Blistering Speed
The Nevera R posted improved times across the board, with standout figures including:
• 0–60 mph in 1.66 seconds (previously 1.74s)
• 0–100 km/h in 1.72 seconds
• 0–300 km/h in 7.89 seconds (down from 9.22s)
• Top speed: 431.45 km/h (268.2 mph)
• 0–400–0 km/h in 25.79 seconds (a 4.14s improvement)
Other new benchmarks include a quarter mile in 7.90 seconds, a standing mile in 19.71 seconds, and a 0–250–0 mph run in just 26.20 seconds.

The Nevera R’s enhanced performance is thanks to a complete reengineering of its core systems. A new aerodynamic package – featuring a fixed rear wing and a larger diffuser – delivers 15% more downforce and improves aerodynamic efficiency by 10%.
Michelin Cup 2 tyres reduce understeer and increase grip, while a next-generation All-Wheel Torque Vectoring system recalibrates power delivery to each of the four motors 100 times per second.
Under the bonnet, the Nevera R produces 2,107 horsepower, precisely distributed across all wheels for maximum performance and control.
Only 40 units of the Nevera R will be produced globally, each priced from €2.3 million. Each model now holds the distinction of being part of the most comprehensively record-breaking hypercar in history.

Founder and CEO Mate Rimac commented:
“When we first introduced Nevera it almost seemed like the pinnacle of hypercar performance had been reached. But now, through relentless innovation, Nevera R goes even faster… Breaking records is in our DNA, and we won’t stop here.”

The Nevera R follows in the footsteps of the original Nevera, which previously held the EV top speed record at 412 km/h (256 mph), set a new hillclimb record at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, and clocked the fastest Nürburgring lap time for an electric production car.
