Croatia Savings Passes to help visitors discover local favorites and save has been launched

Croatia Savings Passes

Umag, May 21, 2025 — Istria Gourmet has launched Croatia Savings Passes, a new mobile app designed to help visitors explore top culinary experiences across Croatia—while saving money at the same time.

The Croatia Savings Passes are a paid digital program available to everyone, locals and visitors alike. With many local restaurants and businesses participating, each city-specific savings pass offers a curated taste of the best food and hospitality in an easy-to-use, mobile-friendly format.

“We created the Croatia Savings Passes to give travelers a fun, affordable way to experience authentic local food and culture,” said Toni Krasnic, founder of Istria Gourmet. “Whether you’re sipping wine by the sea or enjoying a handmade dish in the old town, these passes connect you with incredible local experiences—without the stress of overpaying.”

Building on over a decade of food tour partnerships, Istria Gourmet collaborated with restaurants and wineries across the country to fill the Croatia Savings Passes with meaningful offers and local gems.

“As a small family restaurant, we love welcoming new travelers. The Rovinj Savings Pass has already helped bring in guests who might not have found us otherwise,” said a participating restaurant in Rovinj. “It’s simple to use and gives real value to everyone involved.”

The initial Croatia Savings Passes include: Dubrovnik, Split, Zagreb, Umag, Poreč, Rovinj, and Pula, with more towns to be added based on customer feedback and demand.

Guests can visit a dedicated Croatia Savings Passes webpage where they can purchase their city-specific Savings Pass for just €5 by entering their name, email, and mobile number. A secure link is instantly sent to their phone, which opens the mobile pass and adds an icon to their home screen—no app download needed.

When ready to redeem, guests simply show their phone to the business to unlock exclusive offers such as free drinks, wine, coffee, desserts, or discounts on their total bill.

“The pass was super easy to use and helped us discover amazing local restaurants we never would’ve found on our own,” said one traveler who tested the pilot program in Poreč. “It made our trip even more memorable—and delicious!”

Istria Gourmet is continuing to add new experiences, and restaurants, wineries, and local attractions interested in joining are encouraged to reach out.
