Croatian freediver Goran Čolak sets new world record 

Croatian freediver Goran Čolak has set a new world record at the CMAS World Indoor Freediving Championship 2023 which are taking place currently in Kuwait.

Čolak set the world record in the BIFINS category with an incredible dive of 292.15 meters, Slobodna Dalmacija reported.

Another Croatian, David Čustić, was second behind Čolak with a dive of 276.55. 

Čolak’s achievement is truly remarkable and demonstrates the incredible skill and dedication required for this sport. We are proud to have witnessed such an incredible achievement and congratulate Goran on the record – said the CMAS-World Underwater Federation.

Čolak was born in 1983 in Zagreb. He started his amateur career in freediving in 2006, while joining the elite group of professional freedivers in 2011. Since then, he has achieved numerous successes.
