Tougher Laws For Bosnians Entering Croatia From 1 July

From July 1 Bosnians will no longer be able to enter Croatia freely with just their ID cards. When Croatia officially joins the European Union it will be forced to implement its visa regime and the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs confirmed on Wednesday that it would mean changes for Bosnian citizens.

Under current EU visa rules citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina do not require a visa to enter the EU if they have a valid biometric passport. If they don’t then must apply for a visa.The rules will be the same from July 1 when entering Croatia, but the government has applied for more relaxed rules it says.

Croatia has put forward a request to the European Council to allow the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina to enter Croatia with just ID cards, which is currently the case.
