74-year-old Croatian to be oldest from Europe at Towerrunning World Championships in Taiwan

The landmark Taipei 101 building will host the second Towernning World Championship on 5 May.

The world’s elite leading stair runners will take part and compete for the first prizes of €3,000 ($3,700) in the men’s and women’s categories. The course spans 2,046 stairs to the 91st floor of the building at a vertical height of 390 metres.

One of the participants will be  74-year-old Croatian Božidar Deodat Krešić.

Božidar is the only representative from Croatia and the region and is officially the oldest registered runner from Europe.

TWA assigned the race the highest weight rating of 280.

In addition to the elite competition, Taipei 101 will also host a public event on the same day for up to 5,000 participants (the limit is 5,000 participants).
