1st Round Exit For Croatian Girls At French Open

The second Grand Slam of the season, the French Open, has started off badly for Croatia’s female tennis players.

Croatia’s Petra Martic has lost her first round match against Serbian Ana Ivanovic in 3-sets, after taking out the second set, whilst her compatriot Donna Vekic was beaten by American Mallory Budette in straight sets.

Ivanovic – Martic 6-1, 3-6, 6-3
Burdette – Vekic 6-3, 6-4
