Top Gear Live Thrills Croatian Fans

CroatiaCroatia, strengthened by the Stig, has beaten Jeremy Clarkson’s England team 5:4 in a match of ‘car football’ which was played during Top Gear Live’s Zagreb show at the Arena on Thursday night…

Clarkson, Richard Hammond, James May, and the Stig thrilled the large crowd that turned up with a range of motoring stunts and acrobatics. It was the first time that Top Gear Live, which has been running since 2002 and has an estimated 350 million views per week in 170 different countries, has come to Croatia, and it may not be the last with Clarkson joking on the night that the Stig was enjoying himself so much in Zagreb that he wanted to stay.

“He has become a Croat already,” joked Clarkson, who earlier in the day took the opportunity to have lunch in Lepoglava.

“The whole time they were laughing. They were saying how impressed with Croatia they were. They ate everything even though their portions were too big,” said the restaurant owner where the quartet had lunch.
