Zrinka Cvitešić Wins Prestigious Laurence Olivier Award in London

Cvitešić won the award in the best actress category for her role in the Broadway hit Musical based on the Oscar-winning film Once, which tells the tale of an Irish busker and a young Czech mother who meet through a shared love of music.

“Thank you for showing me that I made a good decision not to be scared to perform on West End,” said the 34-year-old actress who hails from Karlovac.

The Laurence Olivier Award is presented annually by the Society of London Theatre to recognise excellence in professional theatre and are recognised internationally as the highest honour in British theatre and are considered to be the theatre industry equivalent of the British Academy of Film and Television Arts for television and film.
