Zagreb gets a big new craft beer pub as Zmajska opens SIP

One of Croatia’s most influential craft breweries, Zmajska Pivovara, has opened a new craft beer pub in Zagreb, marking the company’s 13th anniversary and adding a new destination to the city’s expanding craft beer scene.

The new venue, called SIP, is located in the central district of Trnje and has been created in a modernised industrial space designed to reflect the brewery’s philosophy of creativity, innovation and quality.

More than just a traditional beer bar, SIP has been conceived as a hub where craft beer culture can be experienced, explored and shared.

Full range of Zmajska beers

Visitors will be able to taste the brewery’s entire range of beers, including limited-edition releases that will debut exclusively at the new location.

To mark both the opening and the brewery’s anniversary, the team will also present three new beers along with “Tale of the Dragon’s Tail 2025”, a limited-edition whisky release.

The venue aims to attract both experienced beer enthusiasts and newcomers curious about the world of craft brewing, while also providing a relaxed social setting for visitors simply looking to enjoy good food and drink.

American BBQ-inspired menu

Alongside the drinks, SIP will feature a food concept inspired by American BBQ and shareable plates, designed to complement the brewery’s beers.

The kitchen follows a “low and slow” philosophy, similar to the brewing process itself. Meat dishes are prepared over several hours, smoked slowly at low temperatures to create rich, deep flavours.
