30 July 2019 – Following on from sample survey results of their 1.5million social audience, previous media scores and contributions from their editorial team, global travel site Big 7 Travel has released their official list of the ‘Top 50 Beaches in the World 2019’ with Zlatni rat beach on the island of Brač voted No.1.

“The Golden Horn is the most spectacular of all Croatia’s beaches. It’s not just its shape that makes it so beautiful and unique. The pebble beach is surrounded by crystal clear sea, that goes from turquoise blue to dark blue in just 10-20 meters. Decades-old pine trees provide shade, but you won’t want to get out of the warm waters here. It’s clear to see why this is the best beach in the world for 2019,” Big 7 Travel writes.

The diverse list, which included black sandy shores, city beaches and plenty of islands from Myanmar to Mauritius, Zlatni rat came out on top.

In second place was Whitehaven Beach, Whitsunday Islands, in Australia with Fig Tree Bay in Protaras, Cyprus in No.3 spot. Grace Bay in Turks and Caicos and Secret Lagoon, El Nido, Palawan, Philippines rounded out the top five.
