ZAGREB, 29 December 2019 (Hina/SQ) – The International Ski Federation (FIS) has given Sljeme the green light for the Audi FIS Ski World Cup “Snow Queen Trophy” 2020.

In mid-December, when temperatures were high for that time of the year, the adverse weather conditions made the preparation of the slope for the competition more complicated.

However, the organisers managed to make high-quality preparations for the races, and recently have been given the go-ahead for the event at the start of 2020.

The world’s top male and female skiers will once again gather in Zagreb for the Audi FIS Ski World Cup “Snow Queen Trophy” 2020, which will take place on 4 and 5 January 2020.

Every year, Sljeme welcomes 150 of the world’s top male and female slalom skiers and more than 400 crew members from around 25 countries on four different continents. Moreover, the races are covered by the media from around the world, with around 500 Croatian and international reporters and photographers regularly accredited for the races.

The 2020 competitions will be traditionally launched by the ladies’ slalom race on Saturday, 4th of January with the first run of the race scheduled for 1 pm, and the second for 4.15 pm. The men’s slalom takes place on Sunday, 5th of January, with the first run taking place at 2.15 pm and the second at 5.40 pm.
